“Spectacular views of St Michael’s Mount vie with bold architectural planting and neatly clipped green rooms in this exotic Cornish Garden” Carole Drake, September 2015 Homes and Gardens.
I’m so excited to tell you that Ednovean Farm gardens are in Homes and Gardens this month (September issue) ! I mentioned it the other day in my blog “Don’t put your daughter on the Stage Mrs Worthington” after this years interior shoot. Carole Drake came here to take the photos for this magazine feature, last September – magazines work so far ahead. I’ve already bought two copies of course. I think our B&B guests are stocking up too, with copies of the glossy magazine as a lovely souvenir of their stay at Ednovean Farm.
We’ve had great fun here at Ednovean Farm over the years welcoming film shoots and magazines and a film location scout recently described our Garden as “pure Rosamunde Pilcher!”
Garden photography is hard work though- Carole arrived at five in the morning to get the best shots of the garden and I rewarded her with a bacon sandwich and steaming mug of tea from the kitchen, when I was up and about cooking our guests breakfast. As you can see it was a slightly overcast morning but Cornwall in autumn is so special none the less – a sort of honied romance of fading light voluptuous growth from the year.
Still back to our article and I don’t know if I’m really aloud to but here’s a sample above to temp you to the newsagents and I’ll leave you with a quote
“…..sophisticated Italian-inspired garden full of inviting spaces filled with bold planting and the scent of the Mediterranean. The Cornish Riviera has never looked so gorgeous.”
