With last days of summer still stretching before us we treated ourselves to an outing to a secluded Cornish cove. For the first time this year, with rucksacks packed, we walked out across Ednovean Farm’s easterly footpath towards Trebarvah before dropping down through the dusty lane between two farmsteads. We paused for a moment to admire Perranuthnoe’s own beach laying far below us now, to our right, with golden sands exposed by the retreating spring tides. August in the Ednovean Farm Garden

old copper ednovean farmI can’t believe we’ve reached August already as the year has sped passed us and with August, time for another roundup about the Ednovean Gardens. With the imperceptible turn of the year the sleek black blackberries glow in the hedgerows and the corn deepens from green to gold in the fields, moving with an idle rustle in the breeze and the garden reaches its zenith.

Great places to eat close to Ednovean Farm West Cornwall

One of the first questions I’m asked by our Bed and Breakfast guests is “Can you recommend a good restaurant for tonight” and as I mentioned yesterday I can often write the “tale of seven restaurants” by the time I’ve secured a brilliant table for our new guests.

So here are a few suggestions for your notebook before your stay, starting with the ones within walking distance of Ednovean Farm on Perranuthnoe and then out and about in West Cornwall. Each entry has a link to their own web site (if there is one available!)
