Welcome to my new blog and our fresh new website newly created by web designer Paula Johnson. Do find time to click through to visit our fresh new layout I love the relaxed elegant style and hope you will too. Visit us here:- www.ednovean farm.co.uk
Our old stylish site was in HTML – the fiendish language for the computer and so we hope by switching to the simple(ler!) wordpress format this one might be “Christine” proof enough for me to be able to make minor adjustments myself. With the new wordpress formula I am able to blog directly to you here and so the old blog is in mothballs, for now anyway, unless I dream up a new use for it of course…….
I shall continue with my weekly diary about life in a country B&B, with tales of life near the sea in our home with my usual mix of impressions of the seasons, decorative decisions or indecisions and gardening progress. And of course the daily antics of Spud Cat and our horses will always twine themselves through my stories.
I hope to start an exciting new occasional series of tourism advice, covering comfortable topics that will help your holiday along, such as walking in west Cornwall, the nicest restaurants, atmospheric country pubs, wonderful gardens to visit and the most secluded beaches. The other evening for instance I thought I could have written the tale of seven restaurants – because that was the number that I rang to try to secure a table reservation for a guest. Paula has put in a great new links page with a few good restaurant websites for you to look through before starting your holidays and make your reservation way in advance. What could be nicer than strolling across our fields to Perranuthnoe to eat in the village pub and wandering homewards, replete, as the sun sets but believe me you do have to book two or even three days in advance for a seriously foodie-two AA rosettes-listed in the Michelin guide, experience!
Well I’m looking forward to August in the garden with our newly replenished gravel borders and just a few plans still for the Italian Garden although strangely Charles is only looking half inspired as I gesticulate expansively towards one of the silent secluded waiting lawns
Autumn is around the corner and with those of you planning for autumn breaks I’ve added a few special break offers for October to our booking engine, to tempt you here while the weather is still warm and summer whispers yet in the shadows
have a great weekend!
