The secret guest for breakfast

The full breakfastWe had a secret  bed and breakfast guest this week at Ednovean Farm, in the shape of an undercover inspection from the AA. Rather like a mystery shopper the inspector will book in incognito and sample a stay with us and then only reveal their identity after their breakfast has been finished.

My word! if I had known I would have run around in circles for weeks chasing imaginary spiders – we just have to wait for the report to arrive now- the postman will be greeted each morning with great enthusiasm I can tell you!

We’ve had so many different guest this year already it is one of the exciting things about running a bed and breakfast and I’ve heard some fascinating stories as well over breakfast. The delightful lady from China who left a charming message in our visitors book in chinese, the couple from Namibia although I failed miserably to pronounce it properly!  So we roll forward into spring and towards the summer season with busy full days here in Cornwall

. It is always lovely to read a kind message in our guest book from our departing guests.  Mind you I’ve an appointment with the postman! Our visitors book

 Our AA inspection update!

I’m delighted to say that we again achieved the AA highest award for a farmhouse of Five star Gold with an extra award for the quality of our breakfast and the guest book above it’s now on the next page Thank You so much to everybody who has contributed to it.
