January in the Ednovean garden

Soleil D'orWinter has snarled its petulance to us this week, as January draws to a close, I hope it is one last act of defiance and we can move forwards into spring. Yet still today, as I walked to a wilder corner of the garden to take some snaps today ready for today’s blog, I was charmed by the scent of the early Soleil D’or Daffodils as it swirled around me. A spring affair

Flowers on a window sillFor weeks the promise of spring has hung in the air as capricious as the promises of an unfaithful lover in an unhappy affair.  Cornwall has escaped the vicious chill that has gripped the rest of the country and we’ve enjoyed cool frost free days – in Perranuthnoe at least, I know we have a small micros climate so close to the sea. Join me now for a peek at our year…….. Continue reading “Looking back over 2014 at Ednovean Farm” »

December – the winter garden

MahoniaWinter clutched lazily at the garden this month with short dull days and long dark nights. Somehow, it seemed that the best plan, was no plan for this month and the garden got what our plumber describes as “A coat of looking at”. There have been a few joys though …… Continue reading “December – the winter garden” »
